COLOR is
the EVENT
Karina Lumiere's paintings begin where explanation fails. Color carries instinct, memory, tenderness, fracture, and revelation; form appears only after the canvas discovers its own internal pulse.
The works move between abstraction and apparition. Cellular structures bloom, silhouettes hover at the threshold of recognition, and light interrupts shadow. Each painting becomes a record of transformation, felt before it is named.
“These paintings communicate before language has the chance to make them smaller.” amNY
